Team Gymnastics
Aspire offers competitive gymnastics teams for girls and boys, including a Girl's Xcel Team. All teams are by invite only. The girls and boys teams include developmental programs beginning at age 4 and continue all the way up through to the elite levels.
Xcel Team
Xcel Team is for girls 8 years and older, who would like an opportunity to compete without the skill, time, or financial restraints of Girls Team. This program is the perfect for gymnasts who like to compete and stay active with this sport, but also have other activities, obligations, or commitments. It is geared towards gymnasts who are able to do some more advanced skills or have moved past Girls Level 3 class, but don't want to make the time commitment that regular compulsory team levels require. These gymnasts will have the option to compete in the same meets as the compulsory team, but against Xcel teams from other gyms. There are 5 competitive levels in our region of which we compete in 3.
In order to be considered for Xcel Team, girls must have achieved at least the Girls Level 3 rec class.
Team Philosophy
The most important thing in competitive team gymnastics at Aspire is a strong and positive team spirit atmosphere. While gymnastics is an individual sport, it is based on a team concept. We promote this team concept and emphasize it as an essential part of gymnastics.

Rob Survick is the head coach of the Aspire Jr. Sun Devils (competitive boys program).
Our girls program is directed by Kim Neal.
The Xcel team is coached by Casey Chapel and Cat Sharp.
