What to Wear to Dance Class

What to Wear to Dance Class

We want our dancers to feel comfortable when attending our dance classes. In order to create this comfort, we have provided a list of what to wear to dance classes. If you have any questions, please reach out to our dance team at dance@aspirekidsports.com.

Any combination of shirt/shorts or leotard/shorts is acceptable unless otherwise specified.

Please wear hair off the face for all classes and off the face and neck for Ballet classes.

Preschool Dance: We require ballet shoes or socks for Ballet Bugs.

Beginning Ballet: We require ballet shoes as well as form fitting clothing for girls and shirt/shorts for boys.

Intermediate Ballet: Girls: We require ballet shoes (pink, tan or black); a leotard (any color/style); and tights (pink, tan or black). Skirts or shorts may be worn over the leotard/tights. Boys: We require black ballet shoes, a white shirt, and black pants.

We recommend pointe shoes for classes involving Pointe, however, they are not required.

Tap: We require tap shoes (after first trial class) and any combination of shirt/shorts or leotard/shorts.

Jazz: We highly recommend jazz shoes along with form fitting clothing.

Hip Hop: We require non-marking sneakers/soles (no black soles). This class calls for loose shorts/pants and a breathable loose top. No jeans, no gymnastic leotards, or sandals permitted.
